Building skin further encloses the volume in which we move and exist by covering the spaces that house us. New concepts are encouraged by the capacity to create building envelopes out of composite materials. Build a unique building by using composite facade materials. We investigate high-performance composite board materials such as ACP, WPC, and HPL for their unique properties and applications.
What do composite materials consist of?
A composite facade material is made by combining two or more constituent materials. Compared to other generic materials, composite facade materials are more affordable, lighter, stronger, and durable.
WPC
Recycled plastic and tiny wood fibers are combined to create the timber product known as wood-plastic komposit fasader. In contrast to the lengthy history of raw timber or conventional wood composite boards like particle boards or fiberboard, which do not offer[1] aesthetic value unless they are laminated boards, WPCs are relatively new products. With the strength and resilience of hardwood at the cost-effective price of PVC, WPC has inherited the looks of genuine wood while being able to withstand years of environmental fluctuations.
What is WPC made of?
Features
With its vibrant earthy color scheme, natural grain patterns, and impermeable coating that is resistant to scratches, stains, and fading, WPC cladding delivers the most realistic-looking wood finish available. WPC is extremely robust, long-lasting, and impact-resistant because of the extrusion process.
Weather Resistance: WPC is able to survive harsh weather; it doesn't buckle, fracture, or splinter under the hot sun.
Water Resistance: Spill and moisture-proof, with minimal water absorption characteristics. It is mold and termite resistant.
Painting: it doesn't need any painting and staining. If you want to clean you can clean it with the help of cleaners and detergents.
Durability: External applications are ideal for high-density polyethylene kompositbrädor with good stability & strength.
The thickness: Available in plank style with widths between 140 and 150 mm and lengths between 2200 and 2900 mm. However, make careful to double-check panel sizes because they might vary between brands.
Applications
Facade cladding, balcony roofs, pergolas, and vertical louvers are examples of exterior applications.
Interior applications include wall panels, false ceilings, wardrobe and cabinet shutters, modular kitchens, countertops, and column coverings.
Other Applications: Outdoor Decking, Fencing, Railing, etc.
What to Keep in Mind When Using WPC
WPC lacks the same level of high-temperature resistance as genuine wood.
Despite being UV resistant, WPCs are prone to yellowing over time.
WPC has strong gas because of plastic fiber.
ACP - PANELS
Aluminum composite facade panels, which are lightweight and pleasantly flexible, are popular cladding materials. These metal panels are simple to deal with and maybe sawn (saw-cut), CNC-machined, drilled, curved, folded, or bent. It can be bolted, riveted, or even placed as a suspended panel when being installed. It is the easiest material.
Now, what's the composition of ACP Panels?
Aluminum composite facade sheets are panels composed of two thin sheets. And they are made of aluminum bonded to core material. also, it has mineral fibers and polyethylene. As can be seen in the figure, the middle layer is either polyethylene or mineral fibers, while the top and bottom layers are aluminum. Aluminum composite facades may now be divided into three groups based on the core composition.
